NWSL Transfers Desiree Scott

The National Women’s Soccer League transferred former FC Kansas City midfielder Desiree Scott to Notts County FC of England’s FA Women’s Super League, the league announced Friday.

Scott played 22 games last season and was a crucial member of FC Kansas City as a defensive midfielder. The team allowed the second-fewest goals in the NWSL.

“We are disappointed to lose a player of Desiree’s quality but we wish her all the best with her new club and know that our team is building a roster that can once again challenge for the league title,” FC Kansas City Head coach Vlatko Andonovski said.

Scott has played internationally for Canada’s national team, appearing in 96 matches since her debut in 2010.

During the NWSL offseason, FC Kansas City also lost Canadian defender Lauren Sesselmann to the Houston Dash in the Expansion Draft.
