FC Kansas City scores early and often in 4-0 win over Dash

KC at Houston

FC Kansas City soundly defeated the Houston Dash 4-0 for their second win of the season Saturday night in front of 3,505 Houston supporters at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Liz Bogus kicked off the scoring for Kansas City in the 12th minute netting home a through ball from Lauren Holiday. U.S. international Amy Rodriguez scored in the 48th minute for her league leading fourth goal of 2014.

Down 2-0  things went from bad to worse for Houston when defender Osinache Ohale was sent off with red card at the 58th minute after bringing down Amy Rodriguez. Two minutes later, 2013 NWSL Rookie of the Year Erika Tymrak took advantage of the extra player as she put home a strike from the edge of the 18-yard-box for her first goal of the season.

In the 89th minute, second half substitute Frances Silva fired a shot into the upper corner and past McLeod for the first professional goal of her career.

FC Kansas City controlled the pace throughout the match and outshot the Dash 26-4. Kansas City had by far their best performance of this season and are looking more like the club that swept the NWSL awards a year ago.
