The Houston Dash named former Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching as the club’s Managing Director, the team announced on Dec. 23.
Ching played eight seasons with the Dynamo before retiring at the end of the 2013 MLS season.
The Honolulu native will manage the day-to-day duties of the club and help scout out for personnel.
The Dash have also named former U.S. women’s national team coach Tony DiCiccio as a consultant, the team announced Friday.
DiCiccio coached the U.S national team from 1994-1999, winning an Olympic gold in 1996 and the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
DiCiccio and Ching both will assist team president Chris Canetti on the search to fill the Dash’s vacant head coaching position and help with the building of the club’s roster.
