FC Kansas City Resigns Erika Tymrak, Washington Signs Jodie Taylor

FC Kansas City re-signed midfielder Erika Tymrak, the club announced Wednesday.

The contract will keep Tymrak with the club through the 2015 season.

The 22 year-old scored six goals and four assists and was named the 2013 NWSL Rookie of the Year.  She earned her first call-up to the U.S. Women’s National team in September.

FC Kansas is looking to add to last season’s success, where the club was eliminated by Portland Thorns FC in the semifinals.

The Washington Spirit have signed forward Jodie Taylor, the club announced Wednesday.

The deal keeps her with the club through 2014 and includes a club option for the 2015 season.

Taylor’s rights were acquired by Washington in an October trade with Seattle Reign FC.  The 27-year-old currently plays for Sydney FC and will join the Spirit in March.
