Seattle Reign resign defenders Barnes, Dallstream and Deines

Seattle Reign FC announced on Tuesday that the club has resigned defenders Lauren Barnes, Kate Deines and Kiersten Dallstream to new contracts.

The contracts will keep them with Seattle for the 2014 NWSL season, with club options for 2015.

Barnes played in all 22 games for the Reign last season. The 22-year-old had previously played for the Boston Breakers in the WPS.She was named the Reign’s Defender of the Year by head coach Laura Harvey for the 2013 season.

Deines played 17 games for the Reign in 2013 and made 11 starts. The West Coast native previously played for the Atlanta Beat in WPS and the Seattle Sounders Women. She was signed by the Reign on Feb. 4.

Dallstream appeared in 20 matches last season, starting 14 of them. She played for Sky Blue FC and the Boston Breakers in the WPS. The 25-year-old defender was signed by Seattle as a discovery player in March.
