On Wednesday, Canada Women’s National Team Coach John Herdman announced the roster for the Nov.24 International Friendly against Mexico.
This game marks the return of forwards, Kara Lang and Josée Bélanger. However both will not suit up for Canada in their first game back with the national team since 2010 and 2011 respectively
Vancouver’s BC Place host it’s first ever national team game. The stadium will be one of the six host venues for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
18 of the players 23 players named were part of Canada’s Nov.18 3-0 victory over South Korea.The list includes defender Sura Yekka, a 16-year-old Mississauga, Ontario native, who earned her first senior team call-up for that game.
